Reading a very long rupiah price
Rupiah prices for Bitcoin run to many digits. In Indonesian, juta means million and miliar means billion, so Rp 1 miliar is 1,000 juta, or 1,000,000,000 rupiah.
The short form under the live price, about Rp 1.5 billion, uses English words. Swap billion for miliar and million for juta and it reads the way you would say it out loud.
Dots, commas and Rp
Indonesian convention puts dots between thousands and a comma before decimals, so Rp 100.000 means one hundred thousand rupiah. This site follows the English style, with commas for thousands. The digits are the same; only the separators swap, and that is worth remembering when you copy a figure from here into a local app or spreadsheet.
The price of a whole coin, and of a few sats
The headline figure is what one entire bitcoin costs. Hardly anyone buys a full coin, and you don’t need to: Bitcoin divides into 100 million satoshis. A single sat is worth the rupiah price divided by 100,000,000, which comes to a small number of rupiah.
The second table converts Rp 50.000, Rp 100.000, Rp 1 juta and Rp 10 juta into BTC and sats at the live rate. For 0.01 BTC, take a hundredth of the headline price. The Bitcoin calculator and the satoshi page cover everything else.
A handy check: Rp 1 juta is a thousand times Rp 1.000. If the table says what Rp 1 juta buys in sats, Rp 1.000 buys a thousandth of that.
Why rupiah prices differ between sites
Most Bitcoin trading is quoted in US dollars, and a rupiah figure normally adds a currency conversion on top. Every site picks its own data, its own rupiah rate and its own refresh timing, so expect small gaps. The page on how prices work describes this site’s sources. Some apps also round to the nearest thousand rupiah, which hides small differences.
Juta, miliar and the record price
The highest rupiah price so far is Rp 2,091,468,459, set on 6 October 2025. Read it the same way as today’s figure: count the groups of three digits from the right, then name them with juta and miliar.
The 1-year chart on this page is drawn in rupiah as well, so its axis uses the same long numbers. Earlier years are on the Bitcoin price history page.
